Pull up a chair
Some of the best conversations happen over a meal. We regularly host dinners for international students from campuses across the Klang Valley, and they are one of the easiest ways to meet people beyond your course and your own country.
How a dinner works
We seat you with students from a different university and a different country, and over the meal you share with each other in small groups. It is a simple way to hear how life looks from somewhere else, and to make friends you would not meet on your own campus.
Some dinners also have an invited speaker, who shares on a different topic each time.
The day and the venue change from one dinner to the next, so check the event page for when and where. Please sign up there so we know how much food to prepare, and tell us about any dietary needs.
Fri@DU Connect
Fri@DU Connect is a relaxed Friday evening get-together at DU House in Damansara Utama, held fortnightly. It is separate from the regular dinners above and has its own dates on the calendar.
Please sign up on the event page so we know you are coming, then come along on your own or with a friend and meet students from other campuses.
Some Fri@DU Connect evenings mark a festival. At Mid-Autumn, students made mooncakes, hung paper lanterns across DU House and carried them out onto the field nearby.

Everyone is welcome
Dinners and Fri@DU Connect are open to students of any nationality and any faith or none. Find the next ones on our events calendar.
